A Metaphysical Christmas Story

We are all somewhat familiar with the Christmas story that is shared with us in Luke 2:1 thru 2:18 about the birth of Jesus. It is a beautiful story that starts in the ancient town of Nazareth, involves a journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to register and pay taxes for the year and ends with the birth of Jesus the Christ.

In our Unity conversation, Charles Fillmore lays out a story behind the story. An understanding of the metaphysical understanding of this wonderful story of our own journey to our inner awakening of the Christ Life within us.

Words tell stories and Mr. Fillmore helps us look at the inner meanings of the words, events, characters and places that create the deep spiritual journey that unfolds in the Christmas story.

What is the deeper meaning of Joseph and Mary? What is the significance of Nazareth, Bethlehem and Judea. What are the roles of swaddling clothes, a manger, the shepherds, the wisemen, and the star? These are all words that have a metaphysical interpretation that can give us a different understanding of the Christmas story as a personal journey in our own lives.

This Sunday we will share our view of this metaphysical story of the birth of Christ. Come be with us as we unfold this new idea (from ancient thought). We will also celebrate the holiday with a gift exchange ($10 or less), plenty of food, time for love and appreciation and a relaxed environment for Christmas morning in our pajamas. (Me too.)

We love you and see the Christ in you. Merry Christmas!
