A special time, for all women of Unity Center, to leave behind obligations, worries, cares, shirk off the details of life and enjoy the company of fun-loving, spirit-filled, like-minded women of faith. A time to laugh, a time to give, a time to challenge one another by sharing our joys in friendship and trust.

A remote camp in an urban location on Hwy 183 just south of Cedar Park, TX., Camp Twin Lakes YMCA is the perfect setting for an all-day retreat. We will have full use of our own private lodge furnished with tables and chairs and a fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor picnic areas, miles of walking trails, lakes available for canoeing and kayaking, 8 miles of bike trails, dam and waterfall area, and many nooks and crannies for quiet contemplation.   

 We’ll begin about 7AM with prayer and breakfast, and then the Y staff will offer a variety of games and challenges that are interesting and fun. They are all focused on building trust and understanding of one another.    A zipline will round out our morning and is available for all who wish to try this exhilarating experience.

 We’ll have a special lunch and then Rev. Aliza takes over the program for the afternoon.   A bit of writing, a bit of contemplation, a lot of laughter, many giggles, it promises to be fun and enlightening. By the end of the day, we should be able to look at each other and say: “I see you – all of you, and I appreciate you for ALL that you are.”

  Dinner will be provided, and then perhaps a walk on one of the many trails. We’ll have time for songs around the campfire as the sun sets over the lake. S’mores will round out the ending to a perfect day.

Wear your most comfy clothes and shoes, bring your guitars and/or other musical instruments, pillow and blanket to sit on, lawn chair for sitting around the campfire at night, and anything else you can think of to make your day spectacularly special. 

The cost for the day is $45. Once you have turned in your form and paid, you will receive an acknowledgement, location map for Camp Twin Lakes YMCA, and more details regarding the retreat, including a list of attendees.
