God is Good and All is Good

This statement is the first postulate and conclusion of Truth as outlined by Charles Fillmore in his book “Dynamics for Living” that we are studying in our Thursday night book study with Rev. Velma Spence.

This requires us to take a hard look at our unconscious beliefs that inundate our personal world. When we see a world that appears to be full of evil, problems, disease, and other malevolent issues, is it is difficult to affirm the goodness that God is in everything. Mr. Fillmore asks the question: “Can you stick to the proposition that God is good and good is all in spite of all appearances? If you can, the Spirit of Truth is working within you.”

This is the big step on our spiritual path that requires us to slow down, analyze how our life is working and honestly look at our progress in the spiritual life we have chosen. Looking at how we really view the world is part of this step. Are we seeing a world of anger, conflict, poverty, etc. or are we able to see a world of love, peace, harmony and Grace. I am reminded of the comments by that famous philosopher, Flip Wilson: “What you sees is what you gets.” This is a grand synopsis of the basic metaphysical principle that basically tells us that we create our world through our thoughts, words and actions.

We are getting back to simple spiritual basics. God is good. We are an expression of God creating our personally experienced world in combination with 7 billion other God expressing energies. Our personal words and thoughts are creating our personal world. We have created a false world that has misstated the truth about God and man (woman) and painted a limited and helpless picture of human life. These false beliefs have separated us from our real Being, the Spirit of Truth.

The Spirit of Truth, the I Am of who you are is active when we declare the truth though affirmation, meditation and study. The false beliefs are released when we let them go through statements of release and knowing the Truth that God is good and all is well.

I have found there are no real short cuts. We are told the Kingdom is within, It’s the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom, do not worry, you are protected, the Father within He doeth the work, and on and on with promises. The question then becomes, what do I have to do to experience all of these promises? Follow the example of the prodigal son and return to the Father’s house. That means, quit trying to run the world and start running your spiritual journey of surrender, prayer, meditation and study of spiritual things. Scary at first and rewarding in its outcomes. The only way to find out is to accept the process and begin. Maybe real Divine Order will manifest.

I Love you...
