Are You Watering Your Plants?

Anyone who has ever been a gardener or even taken care of just one or two plants knows that you have to keep your plants watered and taken care of.  You know that you can't just plant it and then ignore it and expect it to grow.  Plants grow and produce fruit, flowers or whatever is their purpose when they are cared for or decay and die when they are ignored.

We are very much the same.  We know that things in our world need to be symbolically watered and taken care of.  In Genesis 1:27, we are told that "God created man in His own image."  John 4:24 tells us that "God is Spirit and must be worshipped as Spirit.."  This tells us that we are Spirit and we must take care of ourselves as Spirit.  This means, I believe, that we need to water ourselves with spiritual things in addition to taking care of the material things of the body.

The Apostle Paul tells us in Cor. 3:16, "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?'  So, the question comes up, are you watering all the plants in your garden?  Are we aware that we are Spirit living in a human body?  Are we aware that all parts of us need to be watered and taken care of in order to prosper and live a life of love, peace and harmony?  Are we aware that we have a spirit part of us that needs to be honored, appreciated and symbolically watered and cared for?

This is the spiritual path that Jesus, the master teacher, laid out for us in the New Testament.  A path of behavior that restores the spiritual side of us and returns us to the Garden of Eden  promises.  This is the path that allows us to water and care for the whole person that we are.  This returns us to the Kingdom of Heaven within that is waiting for our awakening.  It is not a mystical process.  It is just following the path back to the Father's House within.

Join us as we learn how to become that Child of God that we were made to be.

I Love you...
